Katrina
Well if you've been watching the news you have heard about Katrina. A couple of days ago she was just a tropical storm and we weren't really paying attention to it. This morning all that changed. She shifted course, picked up some speed and here we are.
The current predictions have given us a 17% chance of being hit, but all of that will change with time. Hurricanes have never followed predictions anyway. I'll know by tomorrow if there is an evacuation order and I'll head north east. No sweat though, I don't have that many valuables here and I'm not planning on waiting it out here.
I don't want to make a big deal about this, it really isn't. I just wanted to give an update to let anyone who wanted to know what was going to happen. Someone out there probably thinks we're going to batten down the hatches and man guard post on base. Don't lie, I know you thought that. We're on a Navy base, they run when hurricanes threaten!
