Blog changes

I got a comment from Bela about the changes to the blog and thought I'd take this chance to clarify something that may not be immediately apparent.

Yeah, I did change the template and the color scheme, but that's not what I'm talking about. I just got a wild hair and decided that I wanted some change in the old blog.

You may have noticed the new headline "Training the Best." Every place I've been, I changed the headline to suit the training environment. First it was Trees, Bugs, and Snow for The Basic School. Then it was Sun, Clouds, and Av Gas (aviation gasoline) for IFS. The Cradle of Naval Aviation is the nickname for Pensacola, Florida because that is where naval aviation was started.

I struggled a bit for one for NAS Corpus Christi. There really is nothing special about it. They only started training naval aviators here in 1942 so there isn't really much history. Locals only know of Corpus Christi as the place college kids go to get hammered on the beach during spring break. I tried to think of something witty with "Don't mess with Texas" but didn't manage anythying.

Training the Best is the motto of Training Wing 4, the Navy command in chage of all the squadrons here. I could have gone with "The Foundation Builders", the motto of VT-28, but that is even more lame. I guess I'll just have to hope for something more inspiring when I get to my next squadron.

Comments:
I like the creativity with your headline but there's something about having that big margin on the left that makes me feel like I'm being crowded off the page the whole time I'm reading.
So.. as far as changing its hair,
the bangs are good but I prefer the upsweep on the right side. ^^
